Young men and women are eligible to apply for admissions to Holy Cross High School this fall. All students interested in applying for the Fall of 2018 should complete our 9th Grade Inquiry Form.
Entrance Exams
All students interested in applying to Holy Cross should have taken either the Test for Admissions to a Catholic High School (TACHS) or the Catholic High School Entrance Exam (CHSEE).
Students who were unable to take either entrance exam should register for the Holy Cross High School Independent Entrance Exam, which is administered on January 4, 2018.
Please make sure to provide your 6th, 7th, and 8th grade report cards prior to the day of the exam. Report cards can be emailed to admissions@holycrosshs.org or faxed to (718) 886-7257.
Please arrive by 3:30 PM on January 4 and bring two number 2 pencils and a scientific calculator. The exam will end approximately by 5:30. No extra time is provided for this exam.
The cost of the exam is $50; please pay by check on the day of the exam. Please make checks payable to Holy Cross High School.
Students will be notified of their admissions decision on January 11, 2018.
AFTER THE TACHS
Catholic School Students
Once students have completed their entrance exam, a 9th grade applicant record will be sent to your 8th grade teacher. This applicant record requires specific information about academic performance in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in addition to attendance and student conduct. Applicant records must be received by Holy Cross no later than December 15, 2017.
Public School Students
Public school students are responsible for submitting the applicant record to their 8th grade teacher for completion and mailing it to:

If the applicant record form is unavailable, copies of the 6th,7th, and 8th grade report cards along with standardized test scores are acceptable substitutes.
