Are Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences Canceled? [Thursday, April 2nd]

Parent-Teacher-Student Conference will be held remotely via phone. Teachers will reach out to the households of students who struggled academically.

Are athletics canceled?

All athletics for the 2020 Spring Season are currently suspended through April 20th. The NYSPHSAA will meet in the near future to discuss the potential for a shortened Spring season. When statewide decisions are made, that information will be communicated.

  • The 2020 Winter Season Banquet scheduled for Saturday, March 28th has been canceled.

Will we have to add extra days to the school calendar?

No, we do not expect to add extra days at this time.

Will Easter Vacation be reduced to make up instructional time? [April 9 – 19]

No, Easter Vacation is not expected to be affected.

Is the Junior Step-Up Mass/Dinner postponed? [April 23]

Yes, due to recent circumstances our annual Junior Class Ring Mass and Stepping-Up Dinner will be postponed until further notice. Please be advised that our Junior Class Moderators, Mrs. Mione and Mrs. Daus are working with our representative from Herff Jones regarding those of you who have placed orders for class rings. Is Senior Parent & Student Graduation Info Night canceled? [April 28]

Yes, the administration will be reaching out through email.

Student Service Hours

By March 20th, Seniors were expected to have their 40 hours of service completed.  Juniors were expected to have 20 hours of service completed, Sophomores were expected to have 10 hours of service completed, and Freshmen were continuing to meet their service requirement within the school community.  These hour requirements remain the expectation. Be sure that all of your completed service hours for this academic year have been logged into x2vol. Search the ‘Community and Campus Opportunities’ section of x2vol to see if there are any school service events that you have forgotten to log into the system.  There are various ‘remote service’ opportunities which the Holy Cross community will ask students to participate in, which includes writing letters to seniors, supporting local businesses, and assisting those who we live with.

The SAT exam scheduled for Saturday, May 2 at Holy Cross High School is canceled.
The Guidance Office sent out an email to the Junior class.  Please visit www.collegeboard.org for upcoming test information.

Are AP Exams canceled? [May 4 – 16]

AP exams are scheduled to be taken online.

Is International Night postponed? [Friday, May 8]

Yes, the World Language Department will be looking into a future date for this event.

Is Senior Prom canceled? [Thursday, May 21]

The event is scheduled but we cannot move forward until the ban of non-essential gatherings of individuals is lifted. Prom is May 21, 2020 from 7:00 p.m.-12:00 p.m. at the “The Loft“ at BridgeView Yacht Club.

What will happen with Baccalaureate Mass? Graduation?

The events are scheduled but we cannot move forward until the ban of non-essential gatherings of individuals is lifted.

  • Baccalaureate Mass scheduled for June 4, 2020 at 6:45 PM<
  • Graduation Ceremony scheduled for June 6, 2020 at 9 AM.

Will dates/times for the June Regents exams be changed? [June 17 – June 25]

No, The New York State Education Department has not changed the Regents Exam schedule for the upcoming June 2020 Regents as of March 25, 2020.
