Mass of Thanksgiving in Honor of First Responders and Military Service Personnel

FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro and Queens Borough Commander Edward Baggott were among the esteemed guests who joined us for our Mass of Thanksgiving in honor of first responders and military service personnel on Monday, November 20, 2017.The annual Mass originated in 2011 to mark the ten year anniversary when Father Frank Grogan, C.S.C. and 16 members of the Holy Cross alumni community tragically lost their lives on September 11, 2001. In 2012 a permanent 9/11 Alumni Memorial, located on the corner of 29th Avenue and 169th Street, was dedicated to our fallen knights who will forever be in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. The names of those who died as a result of the events on September 11 are included in our Prayers of the Faithful. To our alumni, to the precincts and fire houses, to our veterans and to those currently serving our country, thank you for your service and godspeed your safe return each and every day.
