The Environmentalist Club

The environmentalist’s club’s mission is to spread the word about both the beauty of our earth and how we as humans have an impact on its health. We strive to get people to recognize the harmfulness of human actions on the world on both corporate and individual scales not in order to create panic, but rather in order to spread the word on how we can take action to save our earth. We accomplish these tasks through both projects and field trips. Some examples include the 2023 nature mural we completed with the contribution of the holy cross community’s nature photos. This project was intended to get people to pay closer attention to the beauty of earth by consciously looking for aesthetic scapes they could capture on camera and send to us. Similarly, we have taken trips to places like alley pond park to learn how environmental preservationists maintain healthy habits for wildlife by monitoring conditions and taking samples. And most recently we took a trip this year to NYC’s Digester Eggs plant to learn how water waste is recycled in the big apple. All of our efforts center around recognizing the value of earth, recognizing how we impact its health, and figuring out ways we can help protect our home on an individual level.
