The Campus Ministry program coordinates and supports the liturgical, sacramental and spiritual needs of the school community. Comprised of over 40 students, the student Campus Ministers are active and public examples of service and leadership. In the spirit of the charism of the Congregation of Holy Cross, and the vision of its founder, Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., the Campus Ministry office is dedicated to making God known, loved, and served through outreach to the Holy Cross High School community, and the community-at-large, through liturgies, prayer services, retreats and meaningful service.
Students in the Campus Ministry program are provided with a solid foundation in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the core principles of religious education. An emphasis is placed on leading by example, living out an authentic Christian morality, and the development of a mature social conscience.
Campus Ministers are afforded the opportunity to participate in various ministerial options, including, Diocesan CCD teacher certification, internal and external service, commissioning as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, peer counseling of underclassmen and women, and Lecturing at liturgies. We also strive to recognize and cultivate the individual gifts and talents of the young people in the program.
Located opposite the Nurses Office on the 2nd floor, all are welcome in the Faith and Service Office, and we will be happy to welcome you whenever you visit!
