Campus Ministry

Welcome to Campus Ministry

The Campus Ministry program coordinates and supports the liturgical, sacramental and spiritual needs of the school community. The student Campus Ministers are active and public examples of service and leadership. In the spirit of the charism of the Congregation of Holy Cross, and the vision of its founder, Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., the Mission Ministry office is dedicated to making God known, loved, and served through outreach to the Holy Cross High School community, and the community-at-large, through liturgies, prayer services, retreats and meaningful service.

The Religious Education Curriculum emphasizes teaching the Christian message of salvation in a content oriented, introspective and structured program of study. Each year has a specific focus of attention designed to build a foundation of faith, in partnership with parents, from which our children and families will grow in their knowledge of God and the Roman Catholic Church. An emphasis is placed on leading by example, living out an authentic Christian morality, and the development of a mature social conscience.

The Campus Ministry Program coordinates the celebrations of faith in the life of Holy Cross. Deep-rooted in the guiding principles of the Congregation of Holy Cross, that of making God known, loved and served, Campus Ministry concentrates its efforts on conducting retreats for faculty and students, coordinating all charity drives conducted throughout the school year.

Campus Ministers are afforded the opportunity to participate in various ministerial options, including, commissioning as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, internal and external service, and Lecturing at liturgies. We also strive to recognize and cultivate the individual gifts and talents of the young people in the program.

The Campus Ministry department assists the President, as the Spiritual Leader of the high school, to enliven the Gospel in the hearts of all who study and work at Holy Cross.
