Dear Holy Cross Family,
The above inspirational message came from one of our student submissions for the Palm Sunday Service project and it caused me to pause and reflect on how powerful that message is in light of the crisis today. To walk by faith requires strong determination to follow God’s plan regardless of what life throws your way. During these uncertain times, I pray for the safety and good health of our students, families, faculty and staff. I am forever thankful for all the workers on the front line who risk their lives everyday for ours.
As we celebrate Easter Sunday may you remember God’s perfect love for all mankind, and may that love fill you with hope for the days to come.

April 9 through April 19, 2020 Easter Vacation
- This is similar to a regular vacation period when a teacher may assign a longer term project.
- Take time to participate in a School Service Project; look for emails and updates from Mr. Brolly, our Service Learning Coordinator.
On Monday, April 6, 2020, the Governor announced that all public school buildings in New York State will now remain closed until April 29. The State also announced that high school Regents exams have been canceled. All students will be granted a waiver for all exams they were scheduled to take in June. This waiver will treat these exams as passed for the purposes of meeting graduation requirements. If you have specific questions related to Regents exams, please reach out to academics@myhchs.org.
In this extended period of time, we will continue to engage in remote learning as we practice social distancing so that everyone in our school communities can remain safe.

Directions:

Be creative. Think outside the box. You can substitute tools you have at hand to replace items in the picture. Take a picture of your recreation while holding a sign that reads #HCHSre-create
