Holy Cross High School is proud to announce that the Holy Cross Drumline has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2018 Bayside Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.
The Drumline shares an important distinction with the parade: they are both in their first year of existence. Holy Cross Director of Music Greg Mulzet created the drumline this past fall by purchasing instruments, hiring acclaimed percussionist John Ling as instructor/writer, and holding school-wide try-outs. The 10-member ensemble is made up of freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and practices once a week amid the students’ busy schedules of schoolwork and sports.
The students are excited about their first appearance in the community!
The parade will begin at 10 AM on March 24th and run along Bell Boulevard between 36th and 41st Avenues.
