March 31, 2019
On Saturday, March 30, 2019, Holy Cross High School marched in the second annual Bayside St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Students from our school’s Drumline and Cheerleading team, accompanied by members of our Fathers Club, proudly displayed the green and gold as they marched down Bell Boulevard. Our performing students were greeted by the cheers of the large crowd gathered to celebrate their Irish heritage.
Saturday was the first public performance of our Drumline since winning “Best Amateur Marching Band” at the Great Neck – Douglaston Memorial Day Parade last May.
This weekend was also the inaugural march of Holy Cross’s first-ever Cheerleading team. These young ladies of the Class of 2022 continue to make history as their first cheerleading season, and our school’s first year of co-educational Mission expansion approaches its end.
A special thank you to all of the Holy Cross families that came out to support our students, as well as the organizers of the Bayside St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and we are already looking forward to next year’s parade!
Go Knights!
