Junior Unity Mass

On Thursday April 11, 2019, members of the Class of 2020 and their families attended the Junior Unity Mass at Holy Cross High School. The evening was planned by Mrs. Mione and Mrs. Daus, the junior class moderators. Mass was led by our school chaplain, Father Frank Schwarz.

As seniors prepare for final exams, the evening officially heralds the Junior Class as the new leaders in the school. Each student received a pin to mark this momentous milestone. Students also received their class rings during the evening’s ceremony.

During the celebration, Mrs. Mione addressed the rising seniors, saying:

“The rings and pins that you receive today serve as a permanent reminder of the man you set out to be- a man of honor and integrity. You are … tasked with a shared mission to bring hope to others. Remember that when you look at your rings and pins. We also use this milestone as a reminder for you to enjoy your final year at Holy Cross. Savor your memories, and continue to dream big for your future … Make the most of your time here and create a lasting legacy with your fellow knights.”

The Class of 2020 is one of the remaining classes that are still all-boys at Holy Cross. This Fall, half of the building will have transitioned to co-educational classes since the announced Mission Expansion in 2017.

As the school’s underclassmen look for guidance and leadership, everyone at Holy Cross is confident in the example set by members of the Class of 2020.

Go Knights!
